Student Announcements

SPEECH TEAM: All Speech Team Members, congratulations on a wonderful Parent Night!! Please remember there will be a meeting on Tuesday morning, November 10^th, at 7:30am in Room 221 to discuss the specifics of our upcoming competition on Saturday, November 14^th. Please see Mrs. Markelz if you have any questions.

 

WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP (8^TH GRADE): There will be a Washington D.C. informational meeting for you and your parents on Monday evening, November 9^th at 7:00pm in the LRC. All students who want to go on the Washington D.C. trip and all students who want information about that trip should bring their parents to either this meeting or one at another junior high in District 203. See Ms. McCarthy or Mrs. Turner for details.

WASHINGTON WHIRL: All writers for the Washington Whirl, the newspaper is almost ready for distribution! Please mark your calendars for our next meeting, a sorting party, on Friday, November 13^th at 7:30am in Room 221. Please ask Mrs. Turner or Mrs. Markelz is you have any questions.

 

VETERANS DAY: In keeping with our Veterans Day tradition of the last five years, we are seeking your support for the soldiers currently serving. Operation Support Our Troops Campaign is asking us to bring in needed items for the soldiers. Each teacher has a sheet listing the TOP TEN ITEMS needed. Please check the sign in your classrooms and bring your items to the main office by Wednesday, November 11^th. These items will be made into care packages and sent to the soldiers serving abroad. Thank you for showing great Wildcat Support.

 

REACH (7^th and 8^th Graders): All 7^th and 8^th Graders, are you interested in an evening of music, open gym and dancing? Then “REACH FOR FUN” is for you. The Reach Dance will be on Friday, November 13^th from 7:00-9:00pm. Tickets are $8.00 and will be sold during lunch periods on November 11^th, November 12^th and November 13^th only. Tickets include a drink and snack. Tickets are not sold at the door.
