Our School

Steeple Run is one of 14 elementary schools in Naperville 203. Steeple Run first opened in 1976. Our building is dedicated to Ron Gibson, first principal of Steeple Run School, and highly respected educator in Naperville District 203. Today we have three sections of kindergarten, four sections of grades 1-5. We also have a PI+ magnet program for students in grades 4 and 5 who are at the top 2-5% of students in the district. Our current enrollment is about 600 students.

At Steeple Run we have many supports for learning. We have two Reading Specialists, an ELL program staffed by an ELL teacher and assistant, a Special Education department with full time Social Worker, part time Psychologist, full time Speech teacher, and three Learning Behavior Specialists. We have a part time Instructional Coordinator and a full time Assistant Principal. The average years of experience of our teachers is 15 and currently 29 of our teachers have their masters with an additional 6 teachers currently in process of achieving higher degrees. The staff here is open and excited about learning and improving their practices making Steeple Run an exciting place to be.
