"No Bullying" Strategies

• Walk away. - Ignoring a bully is a good approach to try the first time
• Speak up. - Saying something such as ""Get away from me!"" may surprise a bully and make him/her leave you alone. This works best when the bully does not have an audience.
• Try to work the problem out. - Trying to reason or talk it out might work, if the bully does not have an audience.
• Make friends. - A bully may feel hurt and angry. Being friendly may make him/her feel better.
• Get help from an adult. - Finding adult help is vital if the other methods do not work or if you feel unsafe.
