River Woods SFCP

Our goals are to support the RW School Improvement Plan, to connect all members of the RW school community, to partner with Home and School, and to sponsor events which enhance parent and family involvement in student education.

In the past, we have sponsored Math Nights, focusing on manipulatives and math literacy and helped with reading incentives.  This year, we sponsored a Literacy Night, offering mini-sessions on decoding, comprehension, appropriate reading materials, a presentation from Naperville Public Libraries, and reading research.  We are currently exploring writing grants to help us achieve our dreams, and cosponsoring an aviation/science unit with Clow Regional Airport.
