Class Meets:

Kindergarten: Once every two weeks for 30 minutes

Grades 1 – 2: Once a week for 50 minutes

Grades 3 – 5: Once a week for 60 minutes

Class Activities:

Painting – Watercolors & tempera paint, brushes, sponges, q-tips, water
Sculpting – Model Magic, clay, clay tools, assemblage, found objects, paper mache
Drawing – Pencils, crayons, markers, oil pastels, ink, color pencils
Collage – Scissors, glue, paper, found objects
Printmaking – Foam board prints, stencils, found objects, mono-prints
Art history, art criticism and art aesthetics.

Class Rules:

Use all art tools in a safe way

Follow directions and raise your hand

Be kind and respectful of everyone in the art room

Enter and exit quietly and use inside voice

Try your best

Bring a large, old t-shirt or long sleeved shirt in a plastic storage bag. Please write the student's name on both the shirt and the bag. This bag is kept in the teacher's classroom and is worn to art every time.
