Prairie Student Council will be collecting funds to help support the Animal Assisted Therapy Program at Edward Hospital from May 14th-17th. Students feel it is important to be Community Contributors and help others. Edward Hospital therapy dogs and their owners graciously volunteer their time not only to help people in the hospital, but also serve students in our school. Details can be viewed on our Student Council page click here.

The Ice Cream Social and Movie Night will be held rain or shine on Thursday, May 24 starting at 6:00 p.m.  Be sure to bring your quarters for game tickets and your lawn chairs for the movie!  We are looking forward to a fun evening for all of our Prairie Families!  Questions?  Contact Laura Zuspann at zuspann@comcast.net or Betsy Schrubbe at eksch@sbcglobal.net.

Join the Prairie Team in supporting the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund For Literacy by participating in the Run For Reading 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 20 @ River Woods Elementary.  The school with the most participants will get an author visit provided by Anderson’s Bookshop!  The Prairie class with the most participants will receive a free recess! Prairie Math Event Named as a National Model

Prairie Elementary School's Math Night is featured in the National Network of Partnership School's (NNPS) Math Sampler. The examples in NNPS' Sampler include various ways to organize math nights, workshops for parents and other creative activities.
