Events & Programs

Art Awareness - A classroom based program using volunteers to share with students important works of art.  Each classroom has art awareness one time each month for approximately twenty minutes.

Book Exchange - An opportunity for students to bring paperback books to school and exchange them for other books.  There are four book exchanges each year.

Classroom Representative - Two parents from each classroom responsible for providing a party-like atmosphere for three treat days per year.  Classroom representatives also assemble a Winter Break Gift for the students and assist in other special projects.

Clothing Resale - Our major fund raiser held twice each year.  Many volunteers are needed to help receive, sort, sell, and reorganize adult clothes.

Health/Safety Committee - Assists with Vision and Hearing Screening, Red Ribbon Week, Helping Hand and D.A.R.E. graduation.

Last Fling Parking Fundraiser - Held on Labor Day weekend, this fundraiser raises money by allowing cars to park in our school lot for a fee.

Learning Resource Center - Morning and afternoon helpers assist checking out and shelving books as well as assisting students in activities that supplement, remediate or enrich grade level curriculum.

Market Day - Another fund raiser, Market Day provides individually packaged restaurant quality food to Naper families and the community.  Held monthly and organized by parent volunteers.

Reading Partners - Morning and afternoon helpers read to and with students who would benefit from additional reading practice and discussion about what they have read.

School Picnic - An annual lunch for the whole school provided by the Home and School to help celebrate the end of the school year.

Silent Auction - A themed evening event that promises to be a fun night for all.

Yearbook Representative - The representative will take a variety of photos throughout the year of the classroom(s) they are assigned and other events as they take place.  These photos will then be compiled with others to create a wonderful keepsake for students to look back on.
