Mr. Sacher's Home Page

Mr. Sacher teaches Math and PI Lang A 20-year veteran of District 203, he taught for 19 years at Highlands Elementary school in all grades 1-5. He has a bachelors degree in Elementary/Math Education and a Masters degree in curriculum with emphasis in reading. Mr. Sacher joined the Kennedy staff during the (2007-2008) school year.

Language arts—

This program involves speaking, listening, reading and writing and is a block class (meets two periods). Curriculum materials for this course include district novels. Language of Literature text. The Honors Math program emphasizes geometry and algebraic concepts. The course text books are Getting in Shape and Impact Mathematics.

Mathematics:

This program emphasizes Numeration, Computation with decimals and fractions, Geometry and ratio. proportions and rates.
