Counseling Team

Mrs. Cusack has been a school counselor for over 25 years and has been so blessed to have worked here at Kennedy for the past 18 years.  She holds a M.A. in counseling Education and a Type 73 Certificate. "Watching your children grow and learn through these formative years is just down right a 'fun.'  When I first received my master's degree way back in the pioneer days, I had no idea how much I would love working with your daughters and sons.  Thank you for sending them my way.  My philosophy is the old Indian adage "It takes a village to raise children."  So, please feel free to contact me with any of your concerns.  Together we'll come up with a plan."

Mrs. Northrup is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  She holds a M.A. in counseling Psychology and Type 73 Certificate.  Prior to coming to Kennedy, Mrs. Northrup worked in the Naperville community providing crisis intervention and short term counseling to families, couples, and individuals.  Through this work, her passion for working with children came to the forefront.  "School counselors have the unique opportunity to make a difference in so many areas; academic, personal/social, and career development.  It is truly an awesome experience."

Mrs. Smith has been a school counselor for over 6 years.  She holds a B.S. degree in Health and Human Services, M.A. degree in School Counseling, and Type 73 Certificate.  "I believe school counselors provide students with the opportunity, tools, skills, and assistance they need to become independent, lifelong learners who value education."
