Dear Parents,

November is speeding past us here at Kennedy in lightening fashion.  Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  As I ponder Thanksgiving and what it means to me and to all of us in the Kennedy family, I am impressed that we have a great deal for which to be thankful.

We live in a country and a state where we are safe and free from the tyranny that people in other countries experience every day. Last evening we experienced a minor emergency at school and first responders from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department came immediately to help. We are fortunate to have excellent Fire and Police Service at Kennedy.

On October 31st, 2009 the Chicago Sun Times ranked Kennedy Junior High School as #7 highest performing Middle School in Illinois. We are very blessed to have a wonderful school with excellent teachers, wonderful students, and parents who are interested in making sure their children work hard and receive an education which will take them anywhere they would like to go in life.

So, as we begin to celebrate during the Thanksgiving Season, remember all of the many things with which we are blessed.  It is wonderful to be in the family of Kennedy Junior High School.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
