Naperville School District 203 announces the creation of a late start schedule for all schools effective immediately. Because inclement weather in the early morning can sometimes lead to a decision to close the schools for an entire day, District 203’s new late start schedule provides the flexibility to begin the school day two hours later than normal (high schools will begin 1.75 hours later), to allow time for roads to be cleared and the temperature to rise.

“By employing a late start schedule on wintery days, we can still provide a quality educational experience without compromising safety or losing a whole day of instruction,” said Superintendent Mark Mitrovich.

A decision to cancel afterschool events will be made at Central Office by 1:00 on each day of the snow event. In the event that activities are cancelled, Information will go out from Central Office via Talk203 and will be posted on the District web page by level. These announcements are made only in the event that activities are cancelled.

Parents of 8th Graders: The Moving On Committee needs your help with the end of year DVD! We are collecting digital photos of school related activities to be included in the treasured highlight of the Moving On ceremony. Photos should be sent to movingonpictures@wowway.com with the subject line: Kennedy, as early as possible, so that they may be considered for the DVD. Students should be identified in each photo submitted. All submitted material should be a sent as a PDF file. Files larger than 10MB should be sent as separate emails.
