Share a Book

Share a Book is an excellent way to celebrate an event in your child's life while also supporting quality literature for our school.  Families may donate at any point during the school year.  It is a unique time capsule marking the many milestones in your child's life. 

• To commemorate a special occasion in your child's life (birthday, holiday, etc.)
   
• To honor someone (child, relative, friend, family, influential teacher, etc...)   

• In memory of someone who has passed away 

1. Write a check made out to Highlands Home and School for the amount of $15.00.   
2. Fill out the form (click here) and send in your donation to the classroom teacher.   
3. The teacher will then send the form to the LRC and Mrs. VanDyke or Mrs. Llewellyn will invite your child to choose an age-appropriate book available on the Share a Book shelf. Books are carefully selected that would be wonderful additions to the general circulation of the LRC. Parents may also supply a book of their choice.  
4. A bookplate including the name of the student, date entered to Highland's collection, and the name of the honoree will be pasted on the inside cover, recognizing your family's generosity for years to come.   
5. Your child will be the first one in the entire school to check it out.  
6. All book donations will be recorded in the next issue of the Highlands Happenings, as well as a certificate to the person being honored.
