Mission

The mission of the Learning Resource Center is to creaqte an environment which reinforces, enriches, and extend the classroom curriculum.  The center promotes life-long learning and te independence students need to adapt to a changing society.

Library

Early Childhood classes come to the LRC for story time and library books.  They have an opportunity to read and relax before checking books out.  Some classrooms keep these books in their rooms while others allow the books to go home. 

Grade K-3 come the the library for story time and books.  They listen to a story and then check out books.  The maximum number of books allowed to be checked out is three.  If students forget their library books on their selected day they can return them at any time and get more books.

Grade 4 and 5 just come to the library for book check-out.Throughout the year grade 3-5 receive reference and/or library skills instruction.  They are instructed on the Big 6 research method.

All library items (books, magazines, CD's) are checked out for one week.  Students may renew an item once.  The item does not have to be here to be renewed.  Please return books on time; this helpw your student as well as the LRC staff.  Lost/damaged items must be paid for or replaced.  You will receive notification from the LRC should  this become necessary.
