The EEC (Elmwood Environmental Club) has over 50 third graders who collect over 200 pounds of paper, plastic, aluminum cans, and printer cartridges every week at Elmwood School.  The members also learn about environmental issues like protecting the rainforests, endangered species, and water conservation. Four times a year the environmentalists clean up Gartner Road and stencil storm drains in the West Highlands subdivision.
