Chess Club

Thank you for your interest in Chess Club. We are very excited to offer this opportunity for the 25+ students interested in playing the game of chess. Thank you in advance to all the Club volunteers too. We will follow up with volunteers directly, providing detailed information on the Club needs.

So when does the fun begin?

Chess Club will take place on Wednesdays after school from 2:30-3:30 in the gym November 11th, 2009 through March 3rd, 2010. Club participants will come to the gym after school with their belongings and a "peanut-free snack and drink", ready to have some fun playing chess. During this time, Club participants will play chess while volunteers
provide some instruction and aim to pair up participants by their skill level. Tentatively we also plan to have mini-tournaments, teacher guests and an end of the year party.

Each week, Club participants will be escorted to the drop off lane for pick up. All we ask is your timely arrival. Please let us know if you mneed any further information or have questions throughout the year.
