CANDY CANE CARING - December 3rd-14th
Elmwood School’s Candy Cane Caring program will begin on Monday, December 3rd and end on Friday, December 14th. Candy Cane Caring is Elmwood School’s way of helping Elmwood families who may be in need. This program has already helped several families this school year and will continue to assist those in need throughout the year. This is not a fundraiser for Elmwood Home and School. All proceeds will be used for our Candy Cane Caring program.
We currently have 100 families within our own Elmwood community who qualify for the free lunch program and all of the proceeds go towards. Thanks for opening up your hearts and sharing in the gift of giving during the holiday season.
It Just Makes Cents - December 3rd – 14th
During each lunch period, Grades 1st – 5th will be allowed to drop their coins in their classroom canisters in the gym. Kindergarten canisters will be in their classrooms. Each student may donate as many pennies as possible to their class canister and as many silver coins and dollars to their rival classes. Here is the fun twist…pennies add up points while silver coins and dollars subtract points from the canisters. Each classroom that accumulates the most points at the end of the day is the winner! The winning class from each grade will be announced the next morning.
Business Matching Program - December 3rd-14th

All individuals coming to Elmwood are encouraged to cross at the corner of Magnolia and Elmwood on the NW side also, at the corner of Magnolia and Sycamore on the SW side. There is NO legal crossing zone on the corner of Magnolia and Spruce, front of Elmwood. This intersection is not a safe crossing zone designated by the City of Naperville. Do not use this intersection. It is especially dangerous during arrival and departure to the school.
Please review all parking restrictions and our school, safe walking route on Elmwood’s website.
Parking Lot Usage: (map)
There is no parking in the north or south lot for the purpose of dropping off and picking up students. We have had several safety concerns with moving cars being in the lots at the same time as the students depart. The north parking/Kindergarten lot area will be blocked for the safety of the students until 2:40 pm.
State law prohibits the usage of cell phones in a school zone. It is imperative that NO CELL PHONES are used in the vicinity of Elmwood Elementary for the safety of all. Including the parent drop-off/pick-up lane.
No Pets Allowed:
There are no pets allowed on school grounds. Please keep all pets off the school grounds when children are present.
