8/30/2010	Challenge Day .... is coming to Naperville Central!! Any student wishing to participate in one of our Challenge Days should enter the lottery by submitting their signed permission slip to Student Services office by Friday, September 3. The lottery will take place on Tuesday, September 7th. Students selected will participate in a one day in-school retreat on either September 14, 15 or 16th. 8/29/2010	NCHS Fall Parent Open House, Wed., Sept. 1, @ 7 p.m. The annual Open House, when parents follow their child's class schedule and meet the teachers, will be held on Wednesday, September 1st, with the first period class beginning at 7 p.m. Click here for the letter to the parents. 8/8/2010	NCHS 2010-11 Registration & Schedules Registration: This year, NCHS registration will take place at Lincoln Junior HS. In-coming freshmen will register Tuesday, August 10. In-coming sophomores on Wednesday, August 11. In-coming juniors on Thursday, August 11. In-coming seniors on Friday, August 12. Registration is from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Please adhere to your designated time, mailed to your home last week. Finally, parking at Lincoln JHS is very scarce. We need students to avoid driving to Lincoln JHS. Please do your best to either carpool, be dropped off and picked up, ride bikes, or even walk if possible. If you cannot be here for registration, students can attend late registration at NCHS on August 24 (the day before school). Schedules: Please note - we are not able to issue a schedule to each NCHS student until they have signed for their Redbook signifying that they have received a copy of the school rules. Students can come to the NCHS office at Lincoln Junior High on August 16, 17 or 18 between 7:30 am and 2 pm to sign for their Redbook and pick up their schedule. In addition, freshmen or sophomores who did not register in person can pick up their schedule on August 23^rd between 5 and 8 pm when Naperville Central will be open for freshmen and sophomores to walk their schedule and get their locker assignments. NCHS will be open for juniors and seniors to walk their schedules on Tuesday, August 24^th from 5 – 8 pm. Thank you from NCHS! More...
6/8/2010	Celebrate & Remember Naperville Central High School Join us on Sunday, June 13, for the NCHS HONOR GARDEN AUCTION AND PARTY from 3 to 8 PM at the Naperville VFW (908 W. Jackson Ave.). Special children's activities are planned from 3:30 until 5:30 PM. Entertainment, food and beverages are all included in the $25 adult and $10 child/student with ID price. Silent auctions held throughout the evening. Sample items include: senior parking spot for an entire year, use of an RV for a weekend get-away, an authentic Redskin pullover, tickets to Blues Traveler at NCC, the original phone booth from the old wing, 21 doors, brass knobs, 2 built-in cabinets with ironing boards from the "Home Ec" room, 9 porcelain pedestal sinks, yearbooks, VIP passes to the North vs Central game. Huge variety of items! Baskets galore! Please come and see! All proceeds support the NCHS Honor Garden. New Honor Garden design on display at the event. More...

6/1/2010	Schedule Change Requests for 2010-2011 Beginning June 2nd, 2010, the NCHS Student Services Office will be relocated to Lincoln Junior High School. The office will be staffed by Linda Arneth, Student Services secretary, and a summer counselor. The hours are 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily, except July 5th. You may contact the Student Services department at: 630-420-6436. Students may request changes to their 2010-2011 courses from June 2nd – August 13th, however we strongly encourage families to REQUEST CHANGES BEFORE JULY 11th so that we can have accurate fee sheets printed for the registration mailing. In order to request a schedule change, students should drop in to see the summer counselor on duty at LJHS. Please do not email your change request to your regular NCHS counselor over the summer, as he/she will not receive it until all counselors return to work on August 16th. After August 13th, students will only be allowed to drop a class and replace it with a study hall, early dismissal or late arrival, if appropriate. More...

5/23/2010	Lunch & Study Hall Final Exam Attendance A few things for parents to understand regarding final exam schedules for this week at NCHS. Students are not required to attend during lunch or study hall periods this week. It is not necessary to call the attendance office if your son/daughter will not be in attendance during their lunch or study hall period. If you would like your child to remain in the school building during their lunch or study hall, they will be supervised in our cafeteria. Tuesday and Wednesday, exams end at 11:15 am. School buses will depart NCHS at approximately 11:30 on these two days. We are offering make up exams on Tuesday/Wednesday from 11:25-1:05 pm, and there will be buses available to take students home at approximately 1:20 pm on these two days.
