I Need a Good Book!

There are so many books, how do you know which ones are worth reading? Mr. Mika has compiled several book lists for you to look through and even some specifically created for our school.

Caldecott Medal

203's Battle of the Books List
Battle of the Books is a list of books chosen by a team of district teachers and staff members. It is used as a reading list for the literature club and then for Battle of the Books contest. Most of the elementary schools in the district participate in this program.

Rebecca Caudill List
Battle Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award is an Illinois award for outstanding literature for young people and is sponsored by the Illinois Reading Council, the Illinois School Library Media Association, and the Illinois Association of Teachers of English. It is geared for children in grades 4-8.
